Our Mission
To provide children and their mothers, incarcerated within the Department of Corrections, with services necessary to maintain and strengthen family relationships during periods of separation due to incarceration.

• One in 36 adults in Missouri is incarcerated or under parole and probation supervision.
• 67% of women incarcerated in state prisons are mothers of children under 18.
• Over 100,000 children in Missouri have a parent in prison.
• Children who have contact with their parents in prison show improvement in their emotional health and reduction in problem behavior.
• Inmates who have contact with their families are less likely to return to prison once they have been released.

• Transportation for children who need rides to visit their mothers in prison.
• Quality visits in rooms reserved for one mother and her children.
• Parent education to increase understanding and improve the parenting skills of offender mothers.
• Support and encouragement to help mothers improve interactions with their children.
